Shoutout to the Garrett

So I have this friend named Maddie, and I think she is absolutely wonderful. She is in the summer musical at my school, called Guys and Dolls. And this show is set in 1950's and it's about gambling, and girls, and guys, and well, I don't really know.

However, she told me there is this short little stripper scene and she was cast to be in that scene and she talked to our director and said that she would not like to be in that scene and he completely understood. Some people gave her flack but she stood her ground. And I'm proud of her for that. I probably would be in the same boat she's in if I was in that show.

But that makes me think about women and how they are portrayed in our society. And thinking about it, American women are not portrayed in a positive light. Isn't that sad? We are portrayed either as sexual objects, or scary over-estregenized feminists! Neither are good...

How do you go about changing society's image of you? Of your gender? Of where you come from? Of your skin color? Of your ethnicity? Of you sexual orientation?

Got no clue.
Over and out.

An apology and the fact that American feminism fails

    Hey guys,
First off, I'm sorry, I usually do daily posts, but I didn't. Why? Because...I had a messy room and got grounded for a few days....oh the joy of being a child.
   I love the Berenstain Bears.
Next topic to post, I've noticed in the past few years, That there has been a bit of (okay way MORE than a bit) of extreme feminism crawling about America.
It is my belief that this feminist movement started (before Hilary Clinton, I know shocking) in about 2007. Why do I think this? Well, THIS movie came out.

Enchanted. While the music to this show makes the title worth its salt, the plot sure doesn't. It is about a princess that falls in love with a New York divorce lawyer. (Don't worry, he's in love with her.) However a prince's nasty stepmommy gets into the picture, turns into a dragon (Dude, Sleeping Beauty rip-off.) and instead of the lawyer putting on a big pair of britches, the princess takes care of dragon. And that was really, one of the first of women's audible calls for the pants. (If you've seen Did You Hear About The Morgans, the guy acts the same as the one in Enchanted.)
Women started asking for the overalls in the family, and gave the man the apron. Things have changed since the 1900's when women just wanted a vote. Now, they want a pedestal.
Since women have invaded the workforce, marriages are struggling and daycare businesses are booming. However, now because of this and putting a 'Girls rule Boys drool,' sign on multiple doors more girls than boys graduate, are better academically, and get paid more on the job.
Now I am a total fan of recognizing that both genders are equal. However, we have different strengths and weaknesses. The majority of women nowadays believe that they can do whatever a man can, and better.
No woman has become a Navy Seal. Because women were not meant to be that. God did not make them like that!! We have told men that we don't need them, that we can do anything. And that is not true. This way of thinking is destroying families, future generations, and is just making life difficult. We need to fix this.

Because God made Man and Woman. And the world needs both.
