Art is an Addiction

Some days I think God put something inside of our soul, something deep that just has to get out, has to exercise. Be it photography, drawing, singing, or acting, it is something that tugs at us. It has the need for freedom. Art is not art without humanity, and humanity is not humanity without art.
Do you have a passion in your life? Cooking, writing, playing the trombone, everybody's got something, and if you don't think you have one, you ain't been around long enough nor explored enough.
If you have one, are you pursuing it? You must face the reality that you may die tomorrow, you don't know. So live like you know that you might die tomorrow. Go after what makes you tick. God will help, he knows how to make some real good art.
And you don't have to have just one, I have multiple. Singing, acting, writing, these are my big three.
Here is a piece of music I consider art. You mightn't but I do. It is called Trouble by Over the Rhine, one of my favorite songs by them.

"The most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire."
— Field Marshal Ferdinand Foch
Well you heard the man, get on it.
