So far the only resolution I've stuck to is writing more. But today, I'm not going to talk about any opinions or feelings. Today I want to talk about someone very special, someone I've never met. But someone I care about today.
This is Jessica Joy Rees. She was 12. She died on Thursday, she was fighting brain cancer. And she never ever gave up. She started a foundation NEGU (Never Ever Give Up), and they distributed Joyjars to many kids with cancer.
She had a blog, and reading some of her posts, I was so surprised. She never had a bad word to say, she was the most cheerful twelve year old I've ever, well, read about. She was so sweet in her blog, her last post that she wrote was about how she loved her mommy, and how her mom did so much for her and her family.
This girl blew me away, I've lived three years more than she has (or will), yet she lived more than I have. How many of us have lived twenty, thirty, forty years, but have never truly lived them. At least she did. Her family will be in my prayers, and I want to give props to this amazing girl. I'll see you in heaven someday.
