Now they are probably the most blogged/tweeted group ever (for 2011 at least), they are a leaderless group of people who enjoy long walks, camping, and sharing about how terrible their lives are. They have many solutions on how to fix the problems that face this generation.
And as I was reading some of my pastor's posts on his blog, (joeboydblog.com, check it out, he's a theater person) he wrote about Occupy Wall Street, and confessed to the world that actually, he is the 1%. Now, I know about how much pastors make and they don't make a whole lot. So I was kinda confused. Then he displayed this.
Then I too realized.
I am the 1%
I have clean water, food, clothes, a roof over my head, a soft bed, an education and a pair of Uggs. Most people would jump for joy just because of those things, and that's not talking about all the electronic stuff I have. Yet I complain about not having this or that or not wanting to eat this, why am I doing this?
Because I compare myself to other Americans.
Do you do that too? And sure I don't like that the same guy wins the Monopoly game every single time, but I'm not God, who am I to choose who gets what?
I decided to make a public photo admission to the world, from my computor, with my ipodtouch that.
