Feeling Average?

Compared to my favorite superheroes, (these guys) I feel really average... And then, BAM, I remember, these guys are average. A really cool kind of average, but average nonetheless.

We need more people that are average. That are willing to strive for change. That are willing to do what it takes to make sure something big happens. (Am I making an analogy of how we need to change from the Dynamic Duo, yes, yes I am.) (I am also single.) Would you like examples of people who pull off this sort of average? I betcha you do.
Austin Gutwein. Dude. This guy is amazing. Six(ish) years ago this kid saw a video clip about a girl not having food or water, taking care of her siblings in Africa. This hurt him so much, that he decided to start Hoops for Hope. (There's a great backstory there, but you should check it out for yourself.) He has raised thousands of dollars, and has changed thousands of lives. If there is anyone to shout out to, Austin, you rock. Continue on, like a handsome Tintin...
Now these guys are no longer groundbreaking news, so this is in remembrance. At 17 they started a tour calling a fight against teenage stereotypes. They wrote books, had the most epic blog in the world. And they changed a ton of kids lives. Check out their book 'Do Hard Things.' They just had their last tour. Props, Alex and Brett, props.
This is Zach Hunter. I have more respect for him, than well, a ton of people. He started an organization called Loose Change to Loosen Chains in 7th grade and this organization is still kicking and going nationwide. He is a teenage abolitionist, fighting to free the oppressed. He's written books, gone places, dang if there is someone I want to imitate, it's him.

These are the kids I want to be when I grow up. And they're not much older than me. They are the people I would say inspire me. I don't want to sound foolish, but I have hope for our generation.
Your friendly neighborhood blogger,
Cailin
